Mission Accomplished..First day of school.

School officially started yesterday...

Spencer reported to 8th grade promptly at 7:55 am...backpack consisted of the required geer for an 8th grader... brown bag lunch, pencils sharpened and notebook for notes. He also was seen carrying a black saxophone case with saxophone and new music book inside. He looked sharp in his new jeans, t-shirt and shoes, sporting a smile and new hair cut! He's READY...
Neal...fastened in stroller for AM walk to Spring Lake elementary school. He's holding his sunglasses and has learned to say hi and bye, bye...He's READY!!!

Camilla reported to 2nd grade which began at 9am sharp. She arrived a bit early to familiarize herself with coat room where she hung her backpack which had her Barbie lunch pale inside. She emerged safely from coat room, looked a bit perplexed as she ran her hand through her newly styled hair, then her eyes spotted her desk. She sat down and proceeded to take out her pencil box and pulled a newly sharpened #2 pencil from the box to begin her first day of 2nd grade's morning work. She glanced across her desk to see an old friend, Dallin from Kindergarten, sitting quietly doing his morning work and she did the same. She's READY!

May each day be as adventurous as the FIRST and may this be a GREAT school year for everyone!

They certainly do look ready! I bet Neil will miss his older siblings while they're away. But then again, he'll get more one-on-one Mommy time, yah!

Wow! Amazing how old they are getting. I mean you live with them, or we see them, but it is those "first days" of things that mark how old they are getting!!
